Michelle Bonura Memorial 5K Run/Walk - Shoreham, NY
The Michelle Bonura Memorial 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for June 13, 2026 at the Tesla Science Center in Shoreham, New York. The event offers an in person 5K and a virtual 5K option with a virtual participation window from June 13 to June 21. The in person field is capped at 400 participants.
Race amenities include a commemorative finisher medal, a tech shirt (shirt guarantee for registrations by May 15), electronic timing with age graded results, free finish line photos, and a finisher certificate. Refreshments at the staging area include bagels, pizza, ice cream, bananas, snacks, cookies, and drinks. The course starts on John Street, 1,000 feet east of Miller Avenue, and finishes at the bottom of Southgate, 100 feet north of North Country Road. Water stops are located near the top of Southgate (about 1.5 miles) and on Soundview before Mary Pitkin Path (about 2.0 miles). The Tesla Science Center serves as the staging area, packet pickup site, and post race ceremony location; it is approximately 0.6 miles from the start line and 0.8 miles from the finish line.
Awards include top overall and age group honors, masters and senior masters plaques, wheelchair awards, team competition prizes, and multiple age graded recognitions.
