Junior Proms Dash 3K Winter Series (2026/2027)
The Junior Proms Dash is a 3K winter series for young runners held on the Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen, located about 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade. The series is promoted under SAL rules and the course is measured by a Jones Counter.
Scheduled race dates in the 2026/2027 series include October 9, November 20, December 11, January 15 2027, February 12, and March 19. Entries are open to Primary 5 (age 9) and upwards. Each race requires a separate pre-entry and carries an entry fee of £2; no entries are taken on the day. Race numbers are collected on the day and the same number should be kept for the series. Competitors must report to registration at each race to confirm participation.
Overall series standings are based on accumulated times from three races. Series prizes will be awarded in various categories. Organisers provide a facility to transfer an entry to another competitor; substitute details must be supplied to the organisers before the race. Results are posted on the NESAP Facebook group. All profits from the series will go to Abernecessities.
