Aberdeen Santa Run 5k : basic details
The Aberdeen Santa Run is a fun 5 km event on Sunday 14 December 2025 at Aberdeen Beach Front. The event is organised by Aberdeen Santa Run and is described as family friendly. It is open to people who run, walk, or use other means of moving the route.
Route and event format
The course starts from the Footdee end of the beach and heads north along the lower promenade past Codonas and the Beach Ballroom. It returns along the upper promenade before dropping back down to the lower promenade to the finish. There are steps from the lower prom to the upper prom at the halfway point; marshals can assist with buggies or participants can return via the lower prom. The event is a fun run, not a race. A finish line clock will be present but no official timings will be issued. Every signed-up participant will receive a Santa suit and a medal at the finish.
Participation rules and entry
Children under eleven must be accompanied within arm's reach by a parent, guardian, or appropriate adult. Children under five may join free if accompanied. Early bird entry is £16 until 12 October 2025; standard entry is £20 for adults and £14 for under 14s. Entry closes on 8 December 2025.
