Event details
The Aberdeen Santa Run is a 5k fun run along Aberdeen Beach Front, scheduled for 14 December 2025. The event is described as a fun run rather than a race; a finish line clock will be in place but no official timings will be given. Santa outfits are provided to participants and a medal is handed out at the finish. Food donations will be collected on the day for Aberdeen Cyrenians' Food Bank.
Route and participation
The route starts at the Footdee end of the beach, heads north along the lower promenade past Codonas and the Beach Ballroom, returns along the upper promenade, then drops back to the lower promenade for the finish. There are steps connecting the lower and upper promenades at the halfway point; marshals can assist with buggies or participants may choose to return using only the lower promenade. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages. Children under eleven must be accompanied within arm’s reach by a parent, guardian, or an appropriate adult. Children under five may take part free if accompanied.
Entry and timing
Early bird entry is £16 until 12 October 2025. After that, adult entry is £20 and under-14 entry is £14 (closing date for entries 8 December 2025). Registration status is listed as open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
