Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series 2026/2027
Metro Aberdeen Running Club presents the Promenade 3K Winter Series promoted under SAL rules. The measured course uses a Jones counter and is located on the Beach Esplanade, Aberdeen, about 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade.
The series runs on the first Friday of the month from October to March on these dates: 2 October 2026, 6 November 2026, 4 December 2026, 8 January 2027, 5 February 2027 and 5 March 2027. Each race requires a separate entry; the entry fee is £3 per race. Entrants should keep the same race number for the series; numbers are collected on the day and participants must report to registration at each race to confirm participation.
Overall series standings are decided by accumulated times from three races. Series prizes will be awarded in various categories. There is a separate junior series for under 16s. Pre-entries only are accepted; no entries are taken on the day. The organiser allows substitution of an entered competitor by another person when required, provided full details of the substitute are supplied to the organisers.
Total places for the event are listed as 120. Further administrative details and entry procedures are managed by the event organiser, Metro Aberdeen Running Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
