Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series 2026/2027
Metro Aberdeen Running Club presents the Promenade 3K Winter Series held on the Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen. The course is measured by Jones Counter and the series is promoted under SAL rules.
Races take place on the first Friday of each month from October to March on these dates: October 2, November 6, December 4 2026, January 8 2027, February 5, and March 5. The event location is approximately 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade. Total places are listed as 120.
Entry is by pre-entry only and the entry fee is £3 per race; competitors must register for each race. Numbers are to be collected on the day and the same number should be kept for the series. Participants must report to registration at each race to confirm participation. Three races' accumulated times count toward the overall series results. Series prizes are awarded in various categories. There is a separate series for juniors under 16.
If an entered competitor cannot attend, the organiser provides a facility to transfer the entry to another person; the organiser must be informed with details of the substitute prior to the race.
