Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series December
Metro Aberdeen Running Club presents the Promenade 3K Winter Series 2026/2027 at The Beach Esplanade, Aberdeen. The series takes place on the first Friday of the month from October to March with scheduled races on 2 October, 6 November, 4 December 2026, 8 January 2027, 5 February and 5 March. The venue is on the promenade, 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre.
Entry is by pre-entry only. The stated entry fee is £3 per race and participants must register for each race. Race numbers are collected on the day; the same number should be kept for the series and competitors must report to registration at each race to confirm participation. The organiser allows a substitution process for entrants who cannot attend and wish to pass their place to another competitor.
The course is measured by Jones Counter and the series is promoted under SAL rules. Overall series standings are determined by accumulated times from three races. Series prizes are awarded in various categories. Total places for the event are listed as 120. A separate series for juniors under 16 is run alongside the adult series.
