Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series 2026/2027
Metro Aberdeen Running Club presents the Promenade 3K Winter Series at The Beach Esplanade, Aberdeen. The series is promoted under SAL rules and the course has been measured by Jones Counter. Events use a fixed start location 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade. Each event lists a total of 120 places.
The series takes place on the first Friday of the month from October to March with the following dates: 2 October 2026, 6 November 2026, 4 December 2026, 8 January 2027, 5 February 2027, and 5 March 2027. Entry is by pre-entry only and the entry fee is £3 per race; entrants must register for each race. Race numbers are collected on the day and the same number should be kept for the series. Participants must report to registration at each race to confirm participation.
Overall series ranking is based on accumulated times from three races. Series prizes are awarded in various categories. There is a separate junior series for U/16s. The organiser allows competitor changes for entrants who cannot attend, arranged in advance through the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
