Mersey Tunnel 10K
The Mersey Tunnel 10K is a point to point road race held on 11 April 2027. The start area is on Blackstock Street, just off Vauxhall Road in Liverpool, with sat nav postcode L3 6EP for guidance.
The course begins near the emergency Tunnel exit at Bevington Bush and descends into the Kingsway Tunnel. The Wallasey Tunnel carries runners for just over 3K before they exit on the Wirral side. The route continues along Dock Road past the Seacombe Ferry terminal at the halfway point, then follows the promenade with views of the River Mersey and the Liverpool skyline. The finish is on Ian Fraser Walk in New Brighton.
The event is electronically timed with a timing chip on the race number. Entrants must be 15 years or older on event day. Included items listed for finishers are chip timing, a finisher goody bag, a finisher T shirt and an exclusive medal. Baggage buses transfer belongings from the start to the finish once the race begins.
Race numbers are posted to participants who registered at least six weeks before the event and are dispatched 7 to 10 days before the race. Race numbers will not be posted to addresses outside mainland UK and must instead be collected at the race office on race morning. Pacers will be on course, easily spotted with flags, to run at consistent paces. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
