About the race
The Mersey Tunnel 10K is a scenic and accurately measured 10-kilometer race starting on Blackstock Street near the Kingsway Tunnel in Liverpool. Runners experience a unique course that includes a gentle one-mile descent under the River Mersey through the tunnel, followed by a gradual ascent to the Wirral side. The route continues with a mostly flat second half along the river promenade from Wallasey Ferry terminal to New Brighton.
The race features a drinks station near 7K and finishes on Ian Fraser Walk behind Marine Point retail park, offering a mix of urban and waterfront views.
