Wigan 10k 2026
The HW Moon Toyota Wigan 10k returns for its 14th edition on Sunday, September 6th, 2026. This road running event is organized by the charity Joining Jack and takes place in Wigan, Lancashire, with the start and finish area located around Mesnes Park.
Participants in the 10 km race receive an individual timing chip and a race number. These materials are sent out to registered runners starting in mid-August. The event has a total entry limit of 3,000 participants. Registration remains open until the beginning of September, or until the entry limit is reached.
The registration process includes tiered pricing based on the number of entrants, with a discounted rate available for runners with a UK Athletics code. The event organizer allows for the editing of participant details or the transfer of entries to another person, provided these changes are made before the specified deadline in May.
The chosen charity for the event is Joining Jack, an organization dedicated to funding research for treatments for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. In the event that the race cannot proceed as planned, entries are automatically moved to the following year.
