HW Moon Toyota Wigan 10K 2026 : event summary
The HW Moon Toyota Wigan 10K 2026 is the 14th running of the Wigan 10k, organised by Joining Jack and sponsored by HW Moon Toyota Wigan. The event is scheduled for 6 September 2026 and takes place at Mesnes Park in Wigan, Lancashire. The race distance is 10 km. All runners receive a race number and an individual timing chip; race numbers will be posted from 17 August 2026 and entrants will be notified by email when to expect them. Organisers plan to publish event news on social media.
Entry is limited to 3,000 places. Until the first 500 entries are reached the registration fee is fixed at £22 or £20 with a UK Athletics discount code; after that the fee increases to £27.50 or £25.50 with the discount code. Final registration closes at midnight on 2 September 2026. The facility to edit details and transfer entries closes on 1 May 2026.
Registration fees are paid to the organising charity, Joining Jack, which funds research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy; because of this, the organiser does not offer refunds or deferrals. If the event cannot go ahead all entries will be rolled over to the 2027 event. If a virtual event is offered, participants taking part virtually will receive their medal and ordered t-shirt by post.
