Menendez Miler 5K Run/Walk
The Menendez Miler 5K Run/Walk is an athletic event held at the Truman Waterfront Park in Key West. The course begins near the Coast Guard Cutter Ingham and consists of three loops around the park area. The event supports the Sunset Rotary Bobby Menendez Scholarship Fund.
Participants can choose from the following distance:
- 5 km (run or walk)
The first 100 individuals to enter the event receive a commemorative T-shirt. Awards are provided for multiple categories, including overall male and female winners, as well as masters winners. Medals are also presented to the top two male and female finishers in 10-year age groups for runners, and the top two male and female finishers in the walking category.
The registration fee is structured by age, with a reduced rate for participants aged 18 and under. Packet pick-up is available locally on the day before the event and on the morning of the race at the Truman Waterfront. The event is open to participants up to 99 years of age.
