About the race
The Memorial Day Trail Run is a trail race held in Pelham, Alabama, on Memorial Day weekend and organized by Southeastern Trail Runs. The event offers two distance options and takes place on trails at Oak Mountain State Park, using the Belcher Tract north entrance near 200 Terrace Drive. There is a $5 per person fee to park at that entrance of the state park. Packet pickup and late registration are offered both before and on the race day at Mountain High Outfitters and at Oak Mountain State Park.
Registration has a stated closing date in late May, and the deadline to be guaranteed a race shirt is May 9; organizers order extra shirts and will distribute leftovers after the race if available. Active military participants may register free of charge with military ID and by entering the coupon code 2026US.Military at checkout. Place awards are given as runners finish, with overall awards for first through third for men and women, age-group awards for Masters (40–49), Grand Master (50–59), Ultra Grand Master (60+), and separate awards for participants 16 and under, male and female. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
