Event overview
The Memorial Day Run & March is organized by the Special Forces Foundation and takes place at America The Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs, CO on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The event raises food donations for local homeless Veterans; the organization reports donating 205,000 pounds of food since 2015. Registration fees and donations are used to support Colorado Veterans. Kids 12 and under receive free entry to the fairgrounds; shirts, timing bibs, and medals are not included for free entries.

- 5K - run or ruck
- 10K - run or ruck
- 30K - ruck only
The 30K Ruck March requires participants to carry a 25 lb rucksack filled with non-perishable food items; that weight is required to meet the Norwegian Foot March badge standard and the food will be donated after the march. All participants receive timing bibs and routes are chip-timed. Dogs are allowed on a leash on the routes; strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Bicycles and in-line skates are not allowed. Packet pickup is available the day before at Wackadoo Brewing and on-site registration and check-in occur at the park on race day.
