Event Overview
The Memorial Day 15K in Atlanta is part of a running event held on Monday, May 25, 2026, in Marietta, Georgia. The event also includes 5K and 10K distances, as well as virtual options for all three distances. It is designed to honor and remember fallen military personnel.
Location and Course
The race starts and finishes in the parking lot of the Sprayberry Square Shopping Center at 2550 Sandy Plains Road. The 15K route, like the others, is an out-and-back course run entirely on E. Piedmont Road. Self-serve water stations are available approximately every 1.5 miles.
Features and Awards
All finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three men and women in traditional five-year age groups for the 15K, 10K, and 5K races. Active and retired military personnel with valid ID can register for a complimentary entry.
Logistics
A minimum pace of 16 minutes per mile is required. Teams of five or more participants receive a discount on registration. All participants automatically qualify for one free entry into a 2026 Thanksgiving Turkey Trot event. The event's charity partner for 2026 is Magnolia Senior Living in Dawsonville.
