Ford Elementary Jingle Jog 5K
The event is the 15th annual Jingle Jog, a fundraising walk-run to benefit the Ford Elementary School Foundation. The foundation was established in 2005 and is a non profit that provides enhanced educational opportunities not covered by the Cobb County Board of Education or the school PTA.
The event takes place at Ford Elementary School, 1345 Mars Hill Rd., Acworth, GA. There are two race activities:
- 5K (3.1 miles) timed walk-run
- Kids Reindeer Dash fun run not timed
The 5K course is an out and back loop with rolling hills. The route exits the school bus port, continues on Mars Hill Rd., turns onto Fords Rd., and has a turnaround at County Line Road. Results for the timed 5K are recorded with a time clock. One water station is located at the turnaround on County Line Road. Additional water and post race snacks will be available at the finish area.
Awards are given to the top two finishers male and female in each age category and to the top overall male and female winners. Age categories include Kindergarten through 5th grade, Middle School, High School, and Adult 18 plus. T shirts are guaranteed for registrations received before November 20.
