Event Overview
The Melissa O'Leary Splash Bash Memorial Run takes place at the Woodstock Water Works in Woodstock, Illinois. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026. It features two distances.
- A 5K Run/Walk
- A 1-Mile Family Water Run
Registration for one of the races is required to participate in the 1-Mile Water Run. The event is limited to the first 600 participants who register.
Schedule and Logistics
The 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for an 8:00 AM start, with the 1-Mile Water Run starting at 8:45 AM. Following the races, runners and their families have access to free swimming and refreshments at the venue until 11:00 AM. Awards for the 5K are presented at 9:30 AM.
Participants who register by April 28, 2026, are guaranteed a t-shirt. Shirt and number pick-up for pre-registered runners is available on Friday, May 22 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Woodstock Water Works. Additional pick-up is available on event day from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM.
Awards and Results
In the 5K, overall male and female winners receive a plaque and a $75 gift certificate to a local running store. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age and gender division, and participation medals are also given. Age divisions for the 5K are: 8 & under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Results from previous years (2023, 2024, 2025) are available.
