Abominable Snow Race - Lake Geneva
The Abominable Snow Race takes place on January 30, 2027 at N3232 County Road H, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, on the grounds of Lake Geneva Ziplines & Adventures. The event is a winter obstacle race with options for individuals, teams, kids, and a virtual entry. The event notes that some youth divisions require adult accompaniment.
Distances and main formats include:
- 5K: 15+ obstacles, Fun Run
- 10K: 25+ obstacles, Fun Run
- 20K: 50+ obstacles, Yeti's Challenge (two laps of the 10K)
- 10K: Elite/AG Competitive division, mandatory obstacle completion for podium
- 1/4–1/2 mile: LiL Yetis kids course, 7+ obstacles
- 3.1 miles: Virtual race with additional fitness challenges
The Elite/AG competitive division requires successful completion of all obstacles to remain eligible for podium awards. Cash prizes for overall top three are listed as $300, $200, and $100; podium flags are awarded in overall and age group categories. The 20K Yeti's Challenge awards three medals for completing both laps.
On-site facilities include food trucks, craft beer and hot chocolate for purchase, a festival basecamp with fire pits and vendors, a free bag drop (use at your own risk), changing tents, and porta-potties. Parking options include a prepay VIP lot at House of Music for $25 per car and offsite parking at Hawks View Golf Course for $10 per car with a shuttle to the venue. Obstacles are built by Race Ready Obstacles. All racers receive a finisher shirt and medal; the 20K receives additional medals and participants 21 or older receive a ticket for a free craft beer or hot chocolate.
