Mel Williams Memorial Seashore 50K
The event is a 50 kilometer trail race held at First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach, beginning and ending at the park boat ramp. The course is run as two loops and includes an overall time limit of eight hours. Two full aid stations are located at 64th Street and Bald Cypress; they offer various foods, water, and Tailwind, and each aid station is passed multiple times during the race. The race is cupless, so participants are advised to carry personal water bottles and a collapsible cup.
Online registration is available until Thursday, December 10th, 2026, or until slots fill; the listed registration fee is $100. A $5 club membership discount is available through December 10th and is applied during payment. Refunds are permitted, less a $25 administrative fee, until August 31; no refunds are allowed beginning September 1. There are no transfers or deferrals and no race day registration.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, December 12th, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Running Etc., 1940 Laskin Rd. #302, Virginia Beach; race day packet pickup is available at the start/finish area. Registrants receive a Brooks shirt and finishers receive a medal. A post-race gathering is planned at Smartmouth Brewery Pilot House, 313 32nd St., with two beer tickets and pizza provided to runners and volunteers.
