Meet Me at the Fountain 5K
Meet Me at the Fountain 5K takes place on July 25, 2026 in Forest City, North Carolina. The event is based at Smith's Drugs of Forest City, 139 E. Main Street, Forest City, NC 28043. Proceeds from the 12th running of the 5K will benefit Local Rutherford County Needs.
The event program includes multiple distances and activities:

Packet pick up and on-site registration are available in the days immediately before the event and on race day. Registration for the 5K uses a tiered fee schedule: a $25 early bird period from 2/1/2026 to 2/8/2026, $30 regular registration from 2/9/2026 to 7/19/2026, and $35 late registration from 7/20/2026 through race day. A $15 fee applies for kids 12 and under; the cutoff to be guaranteed a t-shirt is 7/6/2026. The Fun Run is free for ages 8 and under, with shirts available for $15; organizers request advance registration online or on-site on race day.
Awards for the 5K include top 3 male and female overall, top male and female masters, and top 3 finishers in each age group: under 8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over.
