Mechanicsville Elementary Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile
The event is a community road and trail run that starts at Mechanicsville Elementary School, 28585 Three Notch Rd., Mechanicsville, MD 20659. Races begin from the side parking lot of the school and follow an out-and-back route that uses Old Village Road and the paved Three Notch Trail to a turnaround point at Route 236 before returning to the school.
Racers registered for the 1 mile run start first, with the 5K following after the 1 mile race is complete. The course includes segments of flat, paved trail with turnaround points and returns to the school finish area.
Packet pickup is available the day before at the front of the school. Entry fees listed for the event are $40 for the 5K and $10 for the 1 mile youth race. The event is organized to raise funds for student events, enrichment, and clubs at Mechanicsville Elementary.
