McKinney Historic Half
The McKinney Historic Half is an inaugural running event held in McKinney, Texas. The event features a course that traverses the city's historic downtown, various neighborhoods, parks, and trail systems. The race is organized as part of the Dallas White Rock Marathon portfolio of events and supports Scottish Rite for Children.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- Kid's 100-Meter Dash
The Half Marathon is open to participants aged 16 and older. For those seeking assistance with specific finish times, the Dallas Running Club provides pace teams for the Half Marathon. Pace leaders are available for various time goals ranging from 1:30 to 3:00, running even splits throughout the course.
All finishers receive a commemorative medallion, and participants may opt to purchase an engraved ribbon hanger with their name and finish time. Registered runners receive a cotton blend short sleeve shirt, while Half Marathon finishers receive an additional long-sleeve performance finisher shirt.
The event includes a post-race gathering at TUPPS Brewery featuring live music, food, and beverages. Access to the course is restricted to runners, walkers, and wheelchair participants in accordance with USA Track & Field guidelines.
