Event overview
The McKinney Historic Half is an inaugural running event on March 28, 2026, in McKinney, Texas (City of McKinney, 401 East Virginia Street). It is presented by BMW and hosted by TUPPS Brewery. Proceeds benefit Scottish Rite for Children of Frisco. The event route is planned to showcase McKinney’s historic downtown, scenic neighborhoods, and park system.
Race details
The event includes these race options:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- Kid’s 100-Meter Dash
Only runners, walkers, and wheelchair participants are allowed on the course. Runners must be 16 years or older to enter the Half Marathon. Time limits apply for each race. A graphical course map is provided and the event reserves the right to change the course if needed. Awards are given to top finishers in 18 categories.
Participant benefits and extras
Participants receive a tri-blend short sleeve shirt and a finisher medallion; Half Marathon finishers receive a long-sleeve performance finisher shirt. Personalized race bibs are offered if registered by February 28. An iTAB medal personalization option is available for $15. The post-race party at TUPPS Brewery includes music, food, beverages, and complimentary beer for participants 21 and older.
