Event overview
The McKinney Historic Half Presented by BMW is an inaugural road race set for March 28, 2026 in McKinney, Texas. The event is hosted by TUPPS Brewery and organized with support from the BMW Dallas Marathon. It is centered on the City of McKinney area and highlights the city’s historic downtown, surrounding neighborhoods, and park system. Net proceeds will benefit Scottish Rite for Children of Frisco.

Runners must be 16 years or older to enter the Half Marathon. The course supports runners, walkers, and wheelchair participants in line with USA Track & Field and Wheelchair Sports USA guidelines. Organizers reserve the right to change the course prior to the race. Awards are given to top finishers across 18 categories.
Participant items and services listed by the organizer include a tri-blend short sleeve participant shirt, a finisher medallion for all finishers, a long-sleeve finisher shirt for Half Marathon finishers, and a personalized race bib option for registrations completed by February 28. An optional iTAB medal personalization is available for $15. Registered participants receive admission to a post-race party hosted by TUPPS Brewery, which will feature music, food, beverages, and complimentary beer for those 21 and older.
