Turkey Trot 5K and 1K Gobble Kids Run Little Elm
The Turkey Trot 5K and 1K Gobble Kids Run takes place in Little Elm on Thanksgiving Day along the Lakefront Trail. This community event offers options for different activity levels and ages, including a timed competitive run and a recreational fun run. Participants are encouraged to wear holiday-themed gear.

The 5K Run is a timed event where runners, walkers, and trotters are all permitted on the course. Awards are presented at a ceremony following the race for the top overall male and female finishers, as well as masters and grand masters categories. Competitive age group awards are also provided for three top male and female finishers in brackets ranging from 14 and under to 80 and over.
The 1K Gobble Fun Run is an untimed event designed for families. While it does not include timing or formal awards, short-sleeved youth t-shirts are available for younger participants. A virtual participation option is also available for those who cannot attend in person, with event materials mailed to participants afterward.
The event supports the Little Elm Animal Shelter, with donations helping local pets find homes. Finishers can find pumpkin spice donuts at the finish line.
