About the race
McIntosh Middle School hosts a one-mile run/walk through the woods on November 6, 2026 at 701 S. McIntosh Rd., Sarasota, FL 34232. The event includes a free Fall Festival on site after the run. Distances:

Awards for age-group finishers are distributed and announced by a DJ and posted on a board at the Fall Festival. Medals are given to 1st through 3rd place in each age group and ribbons to 4th through 6th place. Categories include M/F overall and age groups: under 10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over. There are also bib raffle prizes.
Registration opens August 6, 2026 and closes August 31, 2026; the stated registration fee is $10.00. Packet pickup is available at a local Fleet Feet location on November 6, McIntosh students can collect packets at the school on November 6 and November 7, and race day packet pickup is offered.
