McIntosh Turkey Trot
The event is a one mile run and walk around McIntosh Middle School in Sarasota, Florida. The course runs through the woods surrounding the school at 701 S. McIntosh Rd., Sarasota FL 34232. After the run a free Fall Festival takes place on site.
Awards are given by age group with medals for first through third place and ribbons for fourth through sixth place. Awards will be announced by a DJ and posted on a board at the Fall Festival. There are male, female and overall categories and age categories from under 10 through 80 and over. Bib raffle prizes are also offered.
Packet pick-up is available at a local Fleet Feet location at 711 South Osprey Ave, Sarasota, and McIntosh students may collect packets at the school in room 602 on the listed dates. Race day packet pick-up is available before the event. Parking is available in the lot by the newly built barn. The registration fee is $10.00.
