About the race
McIntosh Middle School hosts a community one-mile run and walk through the woods around the school. The course follows trails on the school grounds and is paired with a free Fall Festival held after the run. Awards will be announced by the DJ and posted on a board at the Fall Festival.
Distances: 1 mile.
Age-group awards are given by gender and overall with medals for 1st through 3rd place and ribbons for 4th through 6th place. Age categories include M/F OA, under 10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over. There will also be bib raffle prizes.
Logistics and fees are set by the organizer. Registration fee is $10.00. Registration opens 8/6/2026 and closes 9/8/2026. Packet pick-up options include November 6 at Fleet Feet, 711 South Osprey Ave, Sarasota, FL from 5:30 to 7:00; school packet pick-up in room 602 on November 5 for McIntosh students; and race day pick-up from 4:30 to 5:15.
