The event is a community 5K run held on December 13, 2026, at Rothenback Park in Sarasota, Florida. The park address is 8650 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34241. Registration is capped at 100 participants and carries a fee of $35.00.
The event includes an ugly sweater contest judged on site. The contest winner receives the Ugly Sweater Awards, has their sweater made into next year’s medal, and receives two free entrees; the sweater used for the medal should be age appropriate. A breakfast BBQ is provided after the run.
Awards are given for age groups and for overall male and female winners. Packet pickup is available the morning of the race. Organizers note that parking is extremely limited; additional parking is available a short distance away and participants are encouraged to plan accordingly.
Rothenback Park features paved trails amid ponds and wetlands, two playgrounds, and a pavilion for picnics. The park offers public restrooms, allows dogs, and has picnic tables. The event description lists these park amenities to help participants and visitors plan for the location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
