Sarasota Half Marathon & 5k Run
The Sarasota Half Marathon & 5k Run takes place at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida on December 13, 2026. This is the 11th annual edition and the event offers two distances:
- Half marathon
- 5k
The course runs through Nathan Benderson Park, which features a 400-acre lake and a rowing facility, and finishes in front of the park scoring tower. A 3.5 hour time limit applies to the half marathon. Water and Gatorade stops are provided about every two miles or less.
Packet pick-up is available in two sessions: an early pickup on Saturday 12/12 from 2:30 to 4:00 PM at Nathan Benderson Park, and a race day pickup from 5:50 to 6:40 AM. Technical t-shirts and cotton tank tops are included with entry; preferred sizes and styles are not guaranteed.
Entries include a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top five finishers in each age group covering youth to masters categories (age groups begin at 1-10 and extend to 75+). Awards may be collected shortly after finishing thanks to live timing. Nathan Benderson Park charges a $15 fee for parking. Course maps and turn-by-turn flyovers are provided for both distances.
