The 49th Annual Sandy Claws Beach Run takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Siesta Beach Park, 948 Beach Road, Sarasota, FL 34242. The event is hosted by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources and includes the following distances:
- 5K - Adult (18 and up)
- 5K - Youth (17 and under)
- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk (all ages)
Entry fees at published rates are $40 for the adult 5K, $30 for the youth 5K, and $20 for the 1-mile event. Prices increase after registration deadlines in late November 2025. The 5K is chip-timed and sanctioned by the Manasota Track Club.

Proceeds benefit the "Summer in the Parks" Adopt-A-Camper scholarship fund. Early packet pickup is available at New Balance Sarasota, 1872 Stickney Point Road, on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.; packets may also be picked up on race day before 8:10 a.m. All participants receive finisher medals; custom awards are given to first through sixth place finishers in each age category. The event also lists music, food, raffle prizes, a holiday-themed costume contest, youth group discounts for groups of ten or more, and a 5K family rate discount for up to four people.
