McHenry County Patriot Run
The McHenry County Patriot Run takes place at Veteran Acres Park on Walkup Road in Crystal Lake, Illinois on June 21, 2026. The event includes trail race options and a short walk and run held on Father's Day.

- 5K trail run
- 10K trail run
- 1 Mile walk and run (Father's Day Fun Run)
Packet pick up is scheduled the day before the event at Smith PT+. Race day packet pick up and on site registration are available at Veteran Acres.
Proceeds benefit veteran related organizations, including Veterans Path to Hope and Blue Star. Overall male and female winners in the 5K and 10K receive a custom wooden flag plaque. Age group awards recognize the top three finishers in each category, with divisions starting at 14 and under, then 15 to 19, and continuing up through 70 and over. The event continues a tradition of handing out American flag pins and redirecting money that might otherwise be spent on medals to veteran causes. Participants in the 1 Mile walk and run receive flags at the finish.
Team registration offers a group discount of five dollars off per team member for groups up to ten members. Registration fees vary by distance and category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
