McHenry County Patriot Run
The McHenry County Patriot Run is scheduled for June 21, 2026 at Veteran Acres Park on Walkup Road in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The event features multiple distances on park trails and supports veterans causes.
Race options listed include:
- 1 Mile walk/run for Father's Day and a 1 Mile warm up
- 5K trail run
- 10K trail run
Overall male and female winners in the 5K and 10K receive a custom wooden flag plaque. Age group awards recognize the top three finishers in each category, with categories beginning at 14 and under and continuing through 70 plus. Participants in the 1 Mile receive flags at the finish.
Packet pick up is available the day before at Smith PT+ and there is race day registration and packet pick up at Veteran Acres. The event notes a team discount of five dollars off per team member for groups up to ten. Published registration fees include amounts for each distance.
