The Beer'd Mile follows a classic beer mile format: participants drink four beers and run one mile, taking one beer before each quarter-mile lap. Beer'd Mile participants receive a leprechaun hat with a beard (required to be worn during the race) and a challenge coin. 5K and 1 Mile finishers receive a commemorative Irish pint glass, shamrock socks, and a finisher’s medal. Timing uses chip timing. Overall male and female awards are given for 1st through 3rd (gun time). Age-group awards are based on net chip time with the following groups: 0-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66-70, 71-75, 76+. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Fleet Feet Fort Myers and on race day at McGregor’s Public House. Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5K and $32.50 for the mile events.
