McGregor's Kilts & Kilometers
McGregor’s Kilts & Kilometers takes place on March 13, 2027 at McGregor’s Irish Public House at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers, Florida. The event is scheduled on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day and coincides with a two-day Irish festival in Lee County.
The event features these distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
Both distances use chip timing. Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers by gun time, and age group awards are assigned by net chip time across standard age brackets from 0-9 up to 80+. Participants who wear kilts are eligible for special awards.
All finishers in the 5K and 1 Mile receive a commemorative Irish pint glass, shamrock socks, and a festive finisher medal. The course includes hidden lucky Irish coins that can be exchanged for a free beer at McGregor’s Pub; children who find coins receive green Hawaiian punch instead. Event festivities include a DJ, themed games, costuming, green sno-cones, green cotton candy, shamrock beads, and food and drink offerings from McGregor’s Pub. A character identified as Lucky the Leprechaun will be present for photos.
Packet pickup is available Friday, March 12, 2027 at Fleet Feet Fort Myers and on the morning of the event at McGregor’s Public House. Separate 5K and Green Mile course maps are provided for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
