McGregor's Kilts and Kilometers in Fort Myers
McGregor's Kilts and Kilometers is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at McGregor's Irish Public House at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers, FL. The event takes place the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day and launches a two day Irish festival in Lee County.
Events include:
- 5K
- Irish Mile (1 mile)
All 5K and 1 Mile finishers receive a commemorative Irish pint glass, shamrock socks, and a finisher's medal. Participants are encouraged to wear Irish attire; runners who wear a kilt are eligible for special awards. Organizers place “lucky Irish coins” on the course that can be traded for a free beer at McGregor's Pub; children may exchange coins for green Hawaiian punch. Additional on-site features listed for the race day include a DJ, themed games, photo opportunities with a costumed leprechaun, green sno-cones and green cotton candy, shamrock beads, and green drinks.
Timing and awards use chip timing with overall male and female awards for 1st through 3rd by gun time, plus age group awards by net chip time across standard age brackets. Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before at Fleet Feet Fort Myers and the morning of the event at McGregor's Public House. Course maps are listed as coming soon.
