Mayor's River Walk and Run 5K : early June 2026
The Mayor's River Walk and Run 5K is scheduled for early June 2026 (listed as June 6–13) in Lansing, Michigan. The event is based at Potter Park, 1301 South Pennsylvania, Lansing, MI 48911. It includes a competitive 5K run and a 5K walk along the river trail. Every participant receives a t-shirt, a finisher medal and post-event snacks. There will be activity stations along the trail for children.
Registration, timing and event logistics
Registration opens January 7, 2026. Fee structure for the competitive run is $20 until May 24, $25 from May 25 to June 3, and $30 from June 4 to June 6. Walk registration is free. The competitive run is professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results will be posted during the race on the event website. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group for the competitive run. Early packet pickup is on June 4 and 5 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Foster Center, room 109 (200 N Foster Ave, Lansing). Race day packet pickup begins at 8:00 am at Potter Park. Proceeds and donations support the Friends of the Lansing Regional Trails. Sponsors include Jackson National Life and several corporate partners.
