Global Running Day Trail Run - Motivated by Nature

This event is a 2.25 mile loop that starts at the trailhead just outside the Harris Nature Center building, 3998 Van Atta Road, Okemos, MI 48864. The route follows trails and paved areas through the Harris Nature Center grounds to Eastgate Park and returns to the Nature Center. After finishing, participants are invited to a gathering at the Center pavilion with refreshments.

The event takes place on June 3, 2026, and registration is available prior to the date. Early registration is $25 per participant through May 17, 2026, and registration increases to $30 afterward. Children aged 10 and younger are free but must be registered. Processing fees may apply. Proceeds support the Harris Nature Center Foundation and a project to add a Hawk's Nest feature in the Nature Exploration Area.

Harris Nature Center is located along the Red Cedar River within Meridian Riverfront Park. The site includes a Nature Building with educational displays and live animal exhibits, and about six miles of trails that pass through forest, meadows, wetlands and river banks. The event is a fundraiser for the Harris Nature Center Foundation.

In the event of an active weather warning or a heat index over 100, the event will be cancelled. All fees and costs are non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
