About the race
May 4th be with you 5k is an organized social run taking place in Chelmsford. The route is a GPX/Strava route with a narrative back up, and it follows the reverse of the Keller Rabbit 5k. The event includes a best Star Wars themed fancy dress competition judged on the day. The entry fee structure changes by date; early, mid, and late entry prices are listed for 01 Nov 2026, 01 Jan 2027 and 21 Apr 2027.
A TRA permit number is to be confirmed. Non TRA/EA members pay a £2 levy. A service fee of 4 percent (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. The entry price includes a finishers drink (beer, wine or soft/hot drink), a packet of crisps and a 50th anniversary finishers souvenir.
Registration takes place inside the Voodoo Keller Bar. Participants should note that the start and finish require tackling stairs out of the basement. A tail walker or rider will be present.
The narrative, Strava and GPX link will be emailed in April. The venue offers several transport options nearby, including buses, trains, bicycles, hire scooters, walking and local car-parks a short walk away. A back area of the bar is available for bag storage at the participant's own risk. Total places are limited to 60 and the event status is listed as open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
