Max's Race for The Davies Project

Max's Race for The Davies Project is the 21st annual in-person 5k run/walk held on the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing, centered at Hubbard Hall. The event program includes multiple youth and adult running options.

  • 5k run/walk
  • Kids' One Mile
  • Kids Sprint

Proceeds support free round-trip rides to medical appointments for children facing serious health challenges. The Davies Project provides community based, non medical support including volunteer drivers who transport children with serious health conditions, pregnant women, and parents with a baby in the NICU when no car is available.

All participants receive a short sleeve t-shirt and a finisher's medal. Awards include overall recognition for the top male and top female finishers and top three in each 5-year age group from 14 and under through 80 and over; virtual times are excluded from age group awards. The event is professionally timed and results are posted during the event and online.

Packet pickup is available the day before at Playmakers in Okemos and on race morning in the Akers and Hubbard Hall courtyard. Special pricing notes include a family/group discount for three or more registrants on the 5k, team discounts for groups of five or more, and an option to receive a free race entry by donating fifty dollars during registration.
