Event details
Max's Race for The Davies Project takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in East Lansing, Michigan on the Michigan State University campus. The in-person program includes the following distances:
- 5k run/walk
- Kids' One Mile
- Kids Sprint
The 5k has an entry fee of $30. The kids events have an entry fee of $15. All participants receive a short sleeve t-shirt and a finisher's medal. The event is part of the Greater Lansing Area Race Series.
Charity, awards and logistics
Proceeds support The Davies Project, which provides free round-trip rides to medical appointments for children and other community-based non-medical support for families facing serious health challenges. A $50 donation during registration is applied as a free race entry when processed through the registration workflow.
The race is professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results are posted during the event and online at Playmakers. Overall awards are given to the top male and female finishers. Age-group awards are given to the top three in 5-year divisions from 14 and under through 80 and over. Virtual times are not eligible for age-group awards. Packet pickup is available the week of the race at Playmakers in Okemos and on race day in the Akers and Hubbard Hall courtyard.
