Event Overview
The Mattapoisett Mother’s Day 5K is a run and walk on Sunday, May 10, 2026. The event starts and finishes at the Mattapoisett Town Wharf on Water Street in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts.
Course and Scenery
The course is a 5K distance. Participants follow a route from the wharf out to Ned's Point, passing a lighthouse overlooking Buzzards Bay and Mattapoisett Harbor. The halfway point offers views of Ned's Point.
Participation and Awards
The event is open to men, women, and children of all ages. There is a special stroller division; children in strollers do not need to register. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each standard age category and for the stroller division. Categories are divided by age and gender, ranging from 10 and under to 60+.
Additional Information
Race t-shirts are provided for participants who register on or before April 17. The proceeds from the race are used to support postpartum mothers in the South Coast region. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
