Cinco de Mayo 5K - Wareham
The 8th annual Cinco de Mayo 5K is scheduled for May 3, 2026 at AD Makepeace, 158 Tihonet Road, Wareham. Online registration for the 2026 event is open; on-site registration and bib pickup will also be available on race day at AD Makepeace. Registration fees vary by age: adults 19 and older are listed at $30 through May 2 and $35 on race day, ages 11 to 18 at $25 through May 2 and $30 on race day, and ages 10 and under and 70 and older at $20 through May 2 and $25 on race day.
The course is unpaved and wraps around cranberry bogs and woodlands on the AD Makepeace property. Walkers are welcome, running strollers should start in the back, and dogs are not permitted. The deadline to guarantee an event shirt is the end of day Thursday, April 19.
Awards are given to the overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers and to the 1st place male and female in these age groups: 10 and under; 11 to 15; 16 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; and 70 and over. Proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club of Bourne-Wareham Charitable Foundation and local Bourne and Wareham community programs.
