Cinco de Mayo 5K - Wareham
The 9th annual Cinco de Mayo 5K is scheduled for May 2, 2027 at AD Makepeace in Wareham. The event is held on an unpaved course that loops around cranberry bogs and adjacent woodlands. The course surface and surroundings are emphasized by the organizer as part of the route.
Registration is offered for a single 5K distance with the following fee structure: Adult (19+) $30.00 through May 2nd and $35.00 race day; Age 11–18 $25.00 through May 2nd and $30.00 race day; Age 10 and under and Age 70+ $20.00 through May 2nd and $25.00 race day. A shirt deadline is listed as the end of the day on Thursday, April 19th. Bib pickup and on-site registration are available at AD Makepeace on race day.
Walkers are welcome. Running strollers are asked to start in the back. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
Awards are given to overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, and to 1st place male and female in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11–15, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69 and 70+. Proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club of Bourne-Wareham Charitable Foundation and local Bourne and Wareham community programs. Pre-race provisions include coffee and donuts for participants and volunteers, with cranberry drinks provided at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
