The Matawan Borough 5K Turkey Trot & Fitness Walk is the 19th annual running event on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in Matawan, New Jersey. The certified 5K course begins and ends on Main Street. A course map is provided by the organizer. The event includes the following options:

Registration and packet pickup
Online registration opens October 1. Regular registration fee is $35 for the period from October 23 to November 19; in-person registration on race day is $40. Runners registered by Wednesday, November 5 are guaranteed a race shirt; shirts for later registrations are available while supplies last. Early packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, November 28 at the Matawan Borough Municipal and Community Center, 201 Broad Street, Matawan, NJ. Additional packet pickup is available on race morning at the event location.
Awards and use of proceeds
Awards are given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers and to the top 3 male and female runners in each age group (10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and over). No duplicate awards will be issued. Awards are presented at the Race Medal Table by borough officials as winners are identified.
