Market Street Run for Blue
The Market Street Run for Blue takes place on October 18, 2026 in Philadelphia, with a start and finish at Front and Dock Streets next to the Philadelphia Marriott Old City. The event supports the Philadelphia Police Foundation and aims to strengthen community ties through a run and a walk along Market Street.
Distances offered:
- 5 Miles run along Market Street to the Schuylkill River and back
- 3 Miles walk with a turnaround at City Hall and return to the finish
The course begins in Old City near the Delaware River, proceeds about 2.5 miles along Market Street toward 30th Street Station by the Schuylkill River, then returns to the finish area. Jogging strollers are permitted. The event does not include a virtual option; shirts may be purchased for mailing.
Awards include monetary prizes for the top three overall male and female runners and medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket: 5-13, 14-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Paid participants receive a performance long-sleeve dri-fit race shirt while supplies last; finisher medals are not guaranteed after September 15, 2026.
Race timing is provided by Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Bib and shirt pick up is held at the Old City Marriott on designated days before race day and on race morning. An award ceremony will follow at Front and Dock Streets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
