Market Street 'Run for Blue'
The Market Street Run for Blue takes place on October 18, 2026, in Old City, Philadelphia. The event offers separate running and walking options that start and finish at Front and Dock Streets next to the Philadelphia Marriott Old City.

The running course follows Market Street from the Delaware River area eastward toward 30th Street Station and the Schuylkill River, then returns to the finish. Walkers turn around at City Hall and return to the same finish area. Jogging strollers are welcome.
The event is a fund-raiser for the Philadelphia Police Foundation and is intended to support and strengthen ties with the Philadelphia Police Department. The run is professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Awards include monetary prizes for the top three overall male and female runners, and medals for the top three male and female runners in age brackets: 5-13, 14-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
All paid participants receive a long sleeve dri fit race shirt. There is no virtual option, but shirts may be available for purchase and mailing. The finish area includes a street festival with Mounted Unit horses, K9s, food and coffee from the sponsor, and live music. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
