About the race
The 2026 Market Street Run for Blue is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Philadelphia with the start and finish at Front and Dock Streets next to the Philadelphia Marriott Old City. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Philadelphia Police Foundation and as an opportunity for community interaction with the Philadelphia Police Department.
Participants may choose between these distances:
- 5 miles run
- 3 miles walk
The course begins in historic Old City near the Delaware River, follows Market Street about 2.5 miles toward the area around 30th Street Station by the Schuylkill River, then returns to the finish. Walkers turn around at City Hall and loop back to the finish. The race setup has been updated this year due to construction; the finish location and course map were revised. Jogging strollers are welcome.
Amenities and logistics include a Market Street Run for Blue performance long-sleeve dri-fit race shirt for paid participants while supplies last. Finisher medals are not guaranteed for registrations made after September 15. Bib and shirt pickup will be held inside the Old City Marriott on Friday, October 16 (11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), Saturday, October 17 (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.), and Sunday morning, October 18 (6:30 to 7:30 a.m.). An award ceremony will be held at Front and Dock Streets.
The event will be professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Monetary awards will go to the top three overall male and female runners. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female runners in each age group: 5-13, 14-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. There is no virtual participation option, but shirts may be purchased to be mailed to participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
