Run-a-Muck with Willistown Conservation Trust
Run-a-Muck is an outdoor community event held in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, focused on land conservation. The event offers participants the opportunity to traverse a scenic cross-country course that includes fields, woods, streams, and hills. The natural surface trails feature steep hills and uneven terrain, and participants are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for changing outdoor conditions.
The event includes several participation options:
- 5K Cross-Country Run: A timed trail race for runners seeking a personal best or a scenic challenge.
- 1.5 Miles Mucker Course: A walking-only route designed for those who prefer to complete the course at their own pace.
- Future Runner: A dedicated category for children aged 5 and under.
The afternoon includes various social activities and amenities such as a roaring bonfire, live music, and face painting. Food, beer, and wine are available for attendees. All participants receive a race t-shirt, and awards are presented to the fastest runners in the 5K category.
The event is accessible through the ACCESS by Art-Reach Program, which provides discounted admission for individuals receiving public assistance or those who identify as having a disability. Registrants using this program must present a valid ACCESS card and photo ID at check-in. Leashed dogs are permitted to attend with participants.
