Marietta Shamrock Shuffle 5K
The Marietta Shamrock Shuffle is a community running event held on March 20, 2027 on The Square in Marietta, Georgia. The in-person course winds north along Cherokee Street through some of Marietta’s oldest neighborhoods, returns south down Church Street past historic homes, and finishes on the Square where the race began.
Two registration options are listed:
- 5K in-person race
- 5K Phantom Runner nonparticipating option with souvenir shirt
The event includes St. Patrick’s Day themed costume contests with prizes for the most convincing leprechaun and top qualifier awards. A designated “Memorial Mile of Celebration” covers the second mile. Participants may register “In Memory Of” teams to run in honor of loved ones; from Mile Marker 1 to Mile Marker 2 everyone is encouraged to celebrate those remembered with cheers and salutes in motion. “In Memory Of” teams with 25 or more members registered by February 14 will have the loved one’s name added to the souvenir race shirt and receive special memorial wristbands.
Registration details provided by the organizer list a registration fee of $40 for the standard 5K and $45 for the Phantom Runner option, with specific open and close registration dates for each option. Proceeds benefit the Marietta Police Athletic League, which serves youth in the City of Marietta and Cobb County and currently reaches more than 500 youth annually.
