Marietta Shamrock Shuffle 5K : event overview

The Marietta Shamrock Shuffle 5K takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, on The Square in Marietta, GA. The race begins in front of the Cobb County State Court Building and proceeds north on Cherokee Street. Two event options are listed: the live Marietta Shamrock Shuffle 5K and the Marietta Shamrock Shuffle 5K Phantom Runner. Entry fees shown are $40 for the 5K and $45 for the Phantom Runner, with a stated price increase after February 1, 2026. Professional timing with chip technology will be used and the event is noted as a Peachtree Qualifier.

Proceeds benefit the Marietta Police Athletic League (PAL), which serves youth in the City of Marietta and Cobb County and currently serves more than 500 youths annually. The race includes a themed costume contest with categories such as Most spirited St. Patty's Kids (12 and under) and Best Wearin' 'O' the Green. A designated “Memorial Mile of Celebration” runs from Mile Marker 1 to Mile Marker 2, with opportunities to register “In Memory Of” teams; teams of 25 or more registered by February 14 will have the loved one’s name added to the souvenir race shirt and receive memorial wristbands. Awards are given for 1st–3rd overall male and female and for 1st–3rd in these age groups: 12 and under; 13–18; 19–30; 31–40; 41–55; 56–65; Masters 66 and over. Advance packet pick-up is scheduled for Thursday, March 19 at the Hugh L. Grogan Community Center, 510 Lawrence Street NE, Marietta. Parking information and a downtown map are provided for attendees. Volunteer roles are listed for packet pick-up, race day registration, refreshments, water stations, course monitors, Memorial Mile, and finish line duties.
