Mardi Gras 5K Prediction Run : Mobile, Alabama
The event is a chip timed 5K prediction run held in downtown Mobile on February 7, 2027, with a course cutoff of 1 hour 25 minutes. The race takes place at 199 S Broad Street, Mobile, AL. Organizers plan a Mardi Gras themed medal with a bead lanyard and a themed T shirt; those items are scheduled to be revealed in November.
A prediction run awards participants who most accurately predict their own finish time. Entrants must submit a predicted finish time to be eligible for the prediction award. The recorded chip time is the official time for awards. The use of watches or timing devices is considered an unfair advantage for the prediction category and can lead to disqualification from that award; participants wearing watches remain eligible for other awards.
Packet pickup is available the week before the race at Fleet Feet Mobile, 3972 Airport Blvd, and there is packet pickup and day of registration at the race site in downtown Mobile. A volunteer option is offered that results in a refunded race entry after the event in exchange for assisting with finish area support, course direction, water stations and similar duties.
Refunds follow a tiered schedule: 75 percent up to 60 days before the race, 50 percent up to 30 days before the race, and no refunds within 30 days. Processing fees are non refundable and free bib transfers are allowed up to 10 days before the race. An under 16 entry option is listed as non refundable and non transferable.
Awards include closest predicted time, top male and top female, fastest time top male and top female, Team Bead Toss, most referrals, best costume, most spirited and best Joe Cain costume. Several awards include prizes of shoes up to a stated value. There are no age group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
