Mardi Gras 5K Prediction Run
The Mardi Gras 5K Prediction Run takes place in downtown Mobile, Alabama, on February 7, 2027. The in-person distance is a 5K held at 199 S Broad Street. A virtual option is offered with specialty swag.
A prediction run awards the participant who best predicts their own finish time rather than the fastest runner. Entrants must enter a predicted finish time during registration to be eligible for the Prediction Run award. Chip time is the official time for all results. The use of watches, phones, GPS devices, or other pacing devices disqualifies a participant from the Prediction Run award but does not remove eligibility for other awards.
Packet pickup is available in the days before the event at Fleet Feet Mobile, 3972 Airport Blvd, and at the race site on race morning. Event-day registration is available.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a large beaded lanyard, and an event T-shirt for in-person registrants. Virtual registrants receive a specialty golden race bib, finisher beads, and a medallion; virtual swag is available for free in-store pickup or for a flat shipping fee, and will be distributed after the in-person event concludes.
There are no age-group awards. Awards and competitions include Closest Predicted Time, Fastest Overall, Top Male, Top Female, Most Referrals, Best Costume, Best Joe Cain Costume, Most Spirited, and a Team Bead Toss competition.
Refunds follow a tiered schedule based on how far in advance a request is made; free bib transfer is allowed up to 10 days before the event. Processing fees are non-refundable and refund requests must be submitted by email. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
