Lion Trot 8K, 5K and Fun Run
The Lion Trot takes place at Amelia Park, 716 Mae St, Saraland, Alabama, and benefits Saraland Lions Club Programs. The event is organized by the Saraland Lions Club and includes multiple running options for participants on November 28, 2026.

The 5K and 8K courses are certified and run through Saraland neighborhoods; the courses are fairly flat with some gentle inclines and include water stations along the route. The Fun Run is a flat out and back course that starts and finishes at the intersection of James Street and First Ave.
Registration options include mail in entries postmarked by November 20, in person pre-registration by 12 PM on November 27 at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile, and online registration through November 27. Day of race registration is available at the pavilion in Amelia Park the morning of the event.
Awards are given to the top male and female finishers overall, top male and female walkers overall, and top three in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 80 and over. Shirts are available for separate purchase with pricing tiers and a November 20 date to guarantee race day shirts.
