Lion Trot 5K and 8K
The event at Amelia Park in Saraland, Alabama is organized by the Saraland Lions Club and benefits Saraland Lions Club programs. Offerings include multiple race distances and shirt-only options.

The 8K runs through Saraland neighborhoods and the 5K is a certified course. The courses are described as fairly flat with some gentle inclines. Water is provided along the course. Race shirts are included with race entry if registration is completed by November 14; shirts can also be purchased separately for Youth Small through Adult X-Large at $15, and Adult 2XL through Adult 4XL at $20. There are shirt-only entries in sizes YS through 4XL.
Registration may be completed by mail (postmarked by November 14), by in-person pre-registration in Mobile (by November 14 at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet), or online through the event date. Race day registration is available with an increased fee of $5.
Awards are given for the 5K and 8K overall top male and female finishers and top male and female walkers, plus top three finishers in the age groups 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over.
