Lion Trot 5K and 8K : Event overview
The Lion Trot 5K and 8K takes place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Amelia Park, 716 Mae St, Saraland, AL 36571. The event benefits Saraland Lions Club programs and is organized by the Saraland Lions Club. Race participants receive shirts if they register by November 8; shirts are also available for separate purchase.

The courses are described as fairly flat with some gentle inclines. Water is provided along the course. Registration options include mail-in registration postmarked by November 11, in-person pre-registration by 12 PM on November 13 at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile, and online registration that closes at 7 AM on November 14. Day-of registration is available at the Amelia Park pavilion; day-of fees increase by $5. Shirts are included with race entry if registered by November 8; separate shirt prices are $15 for Youth Small through Adult X-Large and $20 for Adult 2XL through Adult 4XL.
Awards are given for the top male and female finishers overall and top male and female walkers overall, plus top three in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 80 and over.
