About the race
Christ Our Redeemer Church presents the 4th Annual Mardi Gras 5k Fun Run & Walk in Niceville, FL on February 6, 2027. The event combines a timed 5k, a children's fun run, and an on-site festival with music, food trucks, a gift card raffle, and games organized by Cub Scouts Pack 553, COR ministries, and families. Mardi Gras themed costumes are encouraged.
The running course is described as flat and fast. Strollers are welcome and childcare will be provided during the race only. All 5k participants receive five complimentary festival tokens and one drink ticket.

Early registration by January 10 guarantees a t-shirt. Fees listed by the organizer are $35 for early 5k registration and $40 after January 10; the kids fun run fee is $10 and includes a finisher certificate. Awards are presented to the top female and top male in each age category, and prizes are given to the top three Partner Challenge teams by combined times. Proceeds benefit the COR Building Community Fund, supporting parish programs such as the Thanksgiving food drive, senior meals, bible studies, youth activities, and community gatherings.
