Details
The event is the 7th annual 5k presented by the Beads, Beats & Better Minds Foundation, a nonprofit that promotes mental health awareness and supports active minds, young adults, families, and peers. Every registered participant is to receive a custom Mardi Gras medal; medals for same-day registrants are not guaranteed. Children 10 and under are free with an accompanying adult registration; child registration is completed on race day during packet pickup. Same-day registration and packet pickup are available. Vendors, face painting, gumbo, music, and Mardi Gras beads are listed as part of the festival. Leashed dogs and baby strollers are allowed at the event.
