Event Information
Manitou’s Revenge is a 53-mile ultramarathon. The race takes place in the Catskill Mountains. It starts in Windham, New York, on the northern Black Dome Trail. The course follows the Long Path from Acra Point to downtown Phoenicia, New York.
The route has approximately 15,000 feet of climbing. Much of the terrain is rocky and steep. There are some runnable sections, but participants often hike uphill or down, sometimes using their hands. The course gets progressively more difficult. Due to the remote nature of the course, there are a limited number of aid stations. Runners should be prepared to spend up to 3 or 4 hours between them.
Registration opens first to past finishers of the event on February 1, 2026. General registration opens on February 22, 2026. Registrants are initially placed on a temporary waitlist until qualification is verified. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
