Manchester - Phoenix Afterglow
This event is the third and final race in a 2026 Summer Series. Participants in the series have the opportunity to collect three series medals; a new medal for this event will be revealed later. Places are strictly limited.
The event is a timed format on a 5.3 km / 3.28 mile out and back lap along the River Mersey in Chorlton Water Park. The surface is off road towpath and the course has very little elevation change. Runners, walkers and joggers may complete as few or as many laps as they wish; completing one lap is recorded as a finish. Participants may continue for up to a 7 hour time limit. All finishers receive a bespoke finishers' medal.

An all day vegetarian aid station will be available with many vegan and gluten free items. Examples listed include bananas, dates, jelly sweets, crisps, cake and squash. Participants with severe or life threatening allergies are asked to bring their own food as cross contamination cannot be guaranteed; requests for specific items should be made at least seven days in advance.
Facilities at Race HQ include toilets and changing rooms. Parking for about 75 cars is available at Hardy Farm on a first come, first served basis. Additional parking for up to 100 cars is available across the river at Sale Water Park, about a 15 minutes walk from the start; runners planning longer distances are asked to consider using the Sale Water Park car park.
