Event Format
This is the third and final event of a new 2026 Summer Series. It is a timed event where participants choose their distance. They can complete as many or as few laps as they like of a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out-and-back course within a 7-hour time limit. The minimum distance to be a finisher is one lap. The chosen charity for the event is Carrington Animal Rescue, with a donation made per participant.
Course and Terrain
The course runs along the River Mersey in Chorlton Water Park. The terrain is an off-road, riverside towpath. The route has very little elevation, making it flat.
Facilities and Services
There is a well-stocked vegetarian aid station available all day, with many vegan, gluten-free, and other items. Toilets and changing rooms are available at the race headquarters. Participants will receive a bespoke finisher's medal.
Parking
Limited parking is available for approximately 75 cars at the race headquarters (Hardy Farm) on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking for up to 100 cars is available across the river at Sale Water Park, which is a 15-minute walk from the start. There is also additional public and paid parking around Chorlton Water Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
