Birchwood 10K 2026
The Birchwood 10K is the 41st edition of a road race held on Sunday 23 August 2026 and organised by Spectrum Striders. The event uses a certified accurate 10 km course and is licenced by UK Athletics with the licence number to be announced.
The course starts at Birchwood Shopping Centre and follows local roads and paths toward the village of Croft. Runners pass a sequence of three rises over motorway bridges before returning to a fast finishing straight. Most of the route is on mainly closed roads and the event includes chip timing, race photos, and time and result text messages for competitors. Cash prizes are offered for race and age category winners. The event provides ample free car parking and a unique finishers memento in the form of a large embroidered towel.
Entry terms state different fees for affiliated and non affiliated entrants, with a booking or admin fee applied. Race numbers and timing chips are collected at Race HQ, and race day instructions are sent by email in the month before the event. Transfers of entries are handled through the entry website and can be made up to two days before the race. The organiser’s privacy policy notes that athletes data is held for race administration, retained in password protected form for three years, and that images from the event may be used for promotional purposes.
