Manchester Airport Duathlon
Organised by McA Fitness, the Manchester Airport Duathlon takes place at the Airport Inn, Altrincham Road, Wilmslow, Manchester SK9 4LR on 23/08/2026. The event offers two race distances and a mix of quiet country roads and a flat run course that passes through the runway tunnels.
Distances
- Super Sprint : one bike lap, designed for first timers
- Sprint : two bike laps, for those with some experience
The run is an out and back course that goes through the runway tunnels. The route is described as flat and straightforward, with advice to keep to the left on pavements and make space when overtaking. The bike route uses quiet lanes around Ashley, Mobberley and Wilmslow and is run anticlockwise; routes are fully signposted and marshalled.
Event arrangements include a clearly marked transition area, mount and dismount lines outside transition, a mandatory fastened helmet rule before touching the bike, and automatic timing at the finish. Registration requires an entry confirmation for check in and includes a helmet check and race number. There is free event parking at the hotel venue for participants who register their vehicle at reception. The event provides water and sweets at the finish and lists flexible payment options.
