Lyme Midsummer Trail 10K at National Trust Lyme
The Lyme Midsummer Trail 10K is a midsummer evening trail race organised by Run North West Limited at National Trust Lyme in Disley, Stockport (SK12 2NR). The route is a one lap course of approximately 10K with 272 metres of elevation gain. The course is a mixture of trail and road running, is fully marked and marshalled, and is licensed by The Trail Runners Association. The route starts outside the entrance to the main hall, runs past the cage and offers views over Manchester before descending to the finish at the Timber Yard, a few hundred metres from the start.
Race logistics include free admission to the park and free parking. Registration and meet-ups are at the Timber Yard, which also hosts post-race food and celebrations and several food and refreshment vendors. Race numbers will not be posted; the race booklet is electronic and will be emailed. Numbers may be collected in advance from the Wilmslow store (SK9 5EB) about two weeks before the event or on the day at Race HQ. Entry is for ages 16 and over. Entry fees are listed as Club Unattached £30.00 and Club Attached £28.00 plus a £1 booking fee; UK Athletics members receive a £2 discount at registration. Entries can be transferred to another runner at no cost. Refunds are not offered and cancellations for extreme weather do not carry refunds. Presentations follow the race once results are verified; top three prizes by gun time are awarded at the finish and veteran category prizes by chip time are issued the following week.
