North Oaks & Middendorf's Manchac Run : November 7, 2026
This event is a road run at Middendorf's Seafood Restaurant on U.S. 51 in Akers, LA. It offers multiple distance options and benefits the North Oaks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) supporting the North Oaks Health System. Packet pickup is available at local host stores in New Orleans and Hammond in the days before the event, and at the race site on race day.

All official finishers receive a custom commemorative medallion. Division awards are given by distance and by age or category, including Open, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior, Legends, Youth, and Race Walker divisions; award presentation occurs on the day of the event and awards will not be mailed. Race walkers must check in at the Race Walker information table to be eligible.
The course uses an out-and-back format that crosses a bridge. There are six on-course aid stations with bottled water, sports drink, and portable toilets. Packet pickup includes a race shirt and a bib with an attached timing chip. Entry fees vary by distance and registration period; youth and seniors receive an online discount of five dollars. All entry fees are non-refundable.
