The Manchac Run offers three running and walking distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 Mile
Event Information
The event takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Registration and packet pickup open at 7:00 am at the race site, Middendorf's Seafood Restaurant located at 30160 US Highway 51 S in Akers, Louisiana.
Packet pickup is also available on the preceding Wednesday and Thursday at other locations in New Orleans and Hammond.
Participant Perks and Awards
All officially registered entrants receive a plate of Middendorf's Famous Thin Fried Catfish. All official finishers receive a custom commemorative medallion. Division awards are presented for various age and category winners in each distance. Awards are given on race day and will not be mailed.
Course and Support
The course includes an out-and-back section over a bridge. There are six water and aid stations on the course providing Kentwood Spring Water and Gatorade. The course closes 2 hours and 45 minutes after the official start.
Registration and Beneficiary
Entry fees are non-refundable. Youth (17 and under) and Seniors (65 and over) receive a discount during online registration checkout. The event benefits the North Oaks Foundation, a non-profit supporting the North Oaks Health System. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
