North Oaks & Middendorf's Manchac Run
North Oaks & Middendorf's Manchac Run takes place on November 7, 2026, at Middendorf's Seafood Restaurant on U.S. 51 in Akers, Louisiana. The event benefits the North Oaks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting the North Oaks Health System.

The course is an out and back that crosses a bridge. Six on-course aid stations provide Kentwood Spring Water, Gatorade and port-a-lets. Parking is available in Middendorf's lots and nearby locations along U.S. 51.
Packet pickup is offered at two pre race locations in New Orleans and Hammond, and packets may also be collected at the race site on event day. Official entrants receive a Middendorf's thin fried catfish plate and custom commemorative finisher medallions.
Awards are given by distance and division, including overall and age group categories and separate recognition for race walkers; awards are presented on the day of the event and will not be mailed. Entry fees vary by distance and registration period; youth (age 17 and under) and seniors (age 65 and over) receive a $5 discount during online registration. All entry fees are non refundable.
The event includes sponsor supported prizes and local vendor refreshments such as beer, soft drinks, fruit and bakery items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
