North Oaks & Middendorf's Manchac Run - Event details
An organized road run and walk held at Middendorf's Seafood Restaurant on U.S. Highway 51 in Akers, Louisiana. The event offers multiple race distances and supports the North Oaks Foundation, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Packet pickup is available in person at two pre-race locations and at the race site on race morning. In-person registration is offered during the packet pickup events and at the race site. Parking is available in Middendorf's restaurant lots, across Highway 51, and along the north side of the bridge.
The course is an out-and-back route that includes crossing a bridge. There are six on-course aid stations supplying water, Gatorade, and portable toilets. The course has a time limit of 2 hours and 45 minutes.
All official finishers receive custom commemorative medallions. Distance division awards are presented on race day across multiple age and division categories, and some sponsor awards include gift cards for local residents. Officially registered entrants are provided Middendorf's thin fried catfish plate and a range of refreshments such as water, sports drink, beer, soft drinks, fruit, and baked goods.
Entry fees are non-refundable. A youth (17 and under) and senior (65 and over) discount of $5 applies during online registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
