The Event
The Ponchatoula Jaycees Strawberry Strut is a running event taking place on April 12, 2026, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. This will be its 43rd edition. The event includes three distances: a 1 Mile Fun Run, a 5K, and a 10K.
Registration and Fees
Online registration is open until the day of the race. Entry fees are listed as $25 for the 1 Mile and $35 for the 5K and 10K. On race day, prices increase to $30 for the 1 Mile and $40 for the 5K and 10K. Participants registered for the 5K or 10K can also run the 1 Mile distance at no extra charge.
Course and Logistics
The event is located at 315 E Oak St in Ponchatoula and is described as within walking distance of the local Strawberry Festival. Parking is available at Ponchatoula Junior High. Race packets can be picked up on Friday, April 10, at Deviate Physiotherapy & Performance on SW Railroad Ave, or on race morning at the event site.
Awards and Amenities
All registered finishers in every distance receive a souvenir medal. For the 5K and 10K, additional medals are awarded to the top two male and female finishers in standard age groups. The overall top two finishers in the 5K and 10K also receive a complimentary entry for the 2027 race. After the race, participants are offered fresh fruits, water, and homemade strawberry shortcake.
