Frigid Beast Feast (December 11 to 13, 2026)
Frigid Beast Feast is a multi day trail event held at Tickfaw State Park near Springfield, LA. The park features over a mile of boardwalks through four ecosystems, a nature center with an 800 gallon aquarium, and displays about local wildlife and culture. The trail runs along the Tickfaw River and passes cypress and tupelo swamp, bottomland hardwood forest, and mixed pine hardwood areas.

The advertised course uses a 3 mile loop called River Trail that follows the river. The organizer notes the presence of poisonous snakes and alligators on or near the trail. Two aid stations are planned: an unmanned midway aid station with water, electrolytes, snacks, and ice, and a main aid station at the start and finish offering ice, electrolyte water, soda, snacks, and fully cooked food.
