Frigid Beast Feast
Frigid Beast Feast is a multi-day trail running event held December 11–13, 2026 at Tickfaw State Park near Springfield, LA, organized by BTR. The event offers a range of distances and on-course support in a state park setting with boardwalks, river views, and varied ecosystems.

The primary loop is the River Trail, a three mile trail that runs along the river. The organizer notes the presence of wildlife including poisonous snakes and alligators near the trail. There are two aid stations: an unmanned halfway point supplying water, electrolytes, snacks, and ice; and a main aid station at the start and finish offering ice, electrolyte water, soda, snacks, and fully cooked food.
Lodging options at Tickfaw State Park include improved and unimproved campsites and cabins or group camp facilities. Cabins and group camp units provide basic cookware, utensils, dinnerware, silverware, towels, and linens; participants are expected to bring food and personal supplies. Group camp visitors must bring their own dishes, silverware, towels, and linens.
Race day food at the start/finish includes bacon, PB&J, chips, cookies, quesadillas, grilled cheese, pickles, candy, crackers, potatoes, gummies, sodas, water, ice, electrolytes, and vegan options. Awards and swag vary by distance with plaques, buckles, medals, hoodies, beanies, a runner light, and speed cups.
