Event Details

The Frigid Beast Feast takes place from December 11 to 13, 2026 at Tickfaw State Park in Springfield, Louisiana. The event offers eight different race distances: a 150 Miler, a 102 Miler, a 75 Miler, a 51 Miler, a 33 Miler, a 15 Miler, a 6 Miler, and a 3 Miler. Each distance starts on a different day.

Location and Course

The event is held at Tickfaw State Park, where visitors can see four ecosystems on over a mile of boardwalks. The race course uses the River Trail, which is a 3-mile trail loop that runs along the river. Organizers note that poisonous snakes and alligators may be on or near the trail.

The course has two aid stations. One is an unmanned station at the halfway point providing water, electrolytes, snacks, and ice. The main aid station at the start/finish area offers ice, electrolyte water, soda, snacks, and fully cooked food.

Logistics and Amenities

Start times are staggered by distance. The 150 Miler and 102 Miler start on December 11 at 6:00 AM with a 54-hour cutoff. The 75 Miler, 51 Miler, and 33 Miler start on December 12 at 6:00 AM with a 30-hour cutoff. The 15 Miler, 6 Miler, and 3 Miler start on December 13 at 6:00 AM with a 6-hour cutoff.

Food at the start/finish area includes bacon, PB&J sandwiches, chips, cookies, quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, pickles, candy, crackers, potatoes, gummies, soda, water, ice, and electrolytes. Vegan options are also available. Finish meals are to be determined.

Awards and Participant Items

Top three male and female finishers in each distance receive a custom plaque. Participants in the 150 Miler, 102 Miler, and 75 Miler receive a buckle. Participants in the 51 Miler, 33 Miler, 15 Miler, 6 Miler, and 3 Miler receive a medal.

For swag, participants in the 150M, 102M, 75M, 51M, and 33M receive hoodies, beanies, a runner light, and a speed cup. Participants in the 15M, 6M, and 3M receive hoodies and a speed cup.

Tickfaw State Park offers lodging options including 30 improved campsites, 20 unimproved campsites, and cabins or group camps. Basic cookware and linens are provided in cabins. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
