The Hammond Rotary Shamrock Run takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Renaissance Festival grounds in Hammond, Louisiana (46468 River Rd, Hammond, LA 70401). The event is presented by the Hammond Rotary Club and is held on the fairgrounds of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival.

Race details and course

The 5K and 10K courses follow roads around the festival grounds, include a loop around a small lake, and pass through the Renaissance Village. Walkers are allowed in the 1 Mile and 5K events; walkers are not allowed in the 10K. Finisher medals are provided for all 5K and 10K participants. Awards include top three overall male and female in the 5K and 10K, first place male and female in the 1 Mile, and first place in each age group for the 5K and 10K. Age groups for the 5K and 10K are: 19 & under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+. An 80+ age group is offered for the 5K only.

Packet pick-up is available the Thursday before the event at a local office, and packets and T-shirts are also available on race morning; parking is on the festival grounds. Special awards include Best Costume, Biggest Team, a Biggest Fundraising Team prize, and a 10K "Beat the Leprechaun" challenge with sponsor-donated prizes.
