The Hammond Rotary Shamrock Run 2026 takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival fairgrounds (46468 River Rd, Hammond, LA 70401). The event is sponsored by the Hammond Rotary Club. The race offers the following distance events:
- 1 Mile
- 5K
- 10K
Entry fees listed are $25 for the 5K and $25 for the 10K, and $10 for the 1 Mile. Registration prices for the 5K and 10K increase after December 30, 2025. Registration for the 1 Mile ends on March 21, 2026 at 9:00am CDT.
Course, awards and logistics
The 5K and 10K courses run on roads around the festival grounds, around a small lake, and through the Renaissance Village. Walkers are welcome in the 1 Mile and the 5K; walkers are not permitted in the 10K. T-shirts are optional; registrants who want a shirt are advised to request it at checkout and to register by February 27, 2026 to guarantee size availability.
Finisher medals are provided for all 5K and 10K finishers. Award categories include top 3 overall male and female in the 5K and 10K, first place male and female in the 1 Mile, and first place in each age group for the 5K and 10K (age groups: 19 & under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+; plus an 80+ group for the 5K). Additional awards include Best Costume, Biggest Team, a "Beat the Leprechaun" challenge in the 10K, and a prize for the Biggest Fundraising Team.
