MammothMarch Texas - Dinosaur Valley State Park
MammothMarch Texas is scheduled at Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, TX on February 20 and February 21, 2027. The event features a single circuit hiking route of 20 miles with an overall completion window of eight hours.
The route traverses hilly, hardscrabble limestone terrain and follows sections of the Paluxy River. Participants pass through areas where dinosaur footprints were preserved in the riverbed around 113 million years ago, allowing walkers to see fossilized tracks in the Paluxy River bed.
Dinosaur Valley State Park offers additional outdoor opportunities on the same site, including camping, picnicking, mountain biking, swimming, fishing, river paddling, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, and an interpretive center. The park setting provides multiple recreational options in addition to the organised hike.
Travel times noted for the park place it under 90 minutes southwest of Dallas/Fort Worth and under three hours northwest of Austin.
