MammothMarch Tampa Bay
MammothMarch Tampa Bay takes place on November 14, 2026 at Alafia River State Park in Lithia, Florida. The event is presented as the final MammothMarch hike for 2026 and follows a single circuit loop through the park.
The route covers 20 miles with an expected completion window of about eight hours. There is no timekeeping; participants who complete the distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate. Participants who leave the course early are issued a certificate noting the mileage covered.
The loop passes through mixed hardwood forests, pine flatwoods, rolling hills and several lakes, and notes an abundance of wildlife. Compared with much of Central Florida the park features pronounced elevation changes, with total elevation gain around 500 ft. Terrain includes mainly unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, gravel roads and forest floor.
Support and logistics include complimentary on site parking, aid and refreshment stations approximately every 5 to 7 miles offering toilets, food and drinks such as water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruit, cereal and protein bars and PBJ sandwiches. A cut off is enforced at aid stations for safety. Event merchandise ordered during registration will be available for pick up on event day while items from the official online shop can be shipped. A limited number of discounted nearby rooms have been arranged through the event travel partner. A MammothMarch Hiking Pass is used for stamping returning participants.
